How do I know if my roof has storm damage?

Many signs, like missing shingles or leaks, are obvious, but damage from wind and hail can be hidden from view until you get up on the roof and look. That's why inspections are important; either annually or in the aftermath of strong storms.

Will Mothership Roofing help with my insurance claim?

Absolutely! We're insurance claim experts. We've done so many of these that we know what they adjusters are going to need before they ask. We'll document damage, meet with your adjuster, and fight for full coverage. We help our clients get the most of their insurance ethically, just by knowing what we are looking for and how the process works.

Is a roof inspection really free? What's the catch?

Yup! Totally free! No catch! If we find damage, we'll let you know what fixing it would look like. If no damage is found, we can schedule you for another inspection in a year for peace of mind or you could reach back out if anything changes.

How do I know if I need a repair or a full replacement?

Our inspectors will assess your roof's age, damage extent, and underlying issues. We'll help you to know based upon the extent of the damage, the requirements of your insurance, and the availability of materials whether or not replacement is the best option.

How long do I have to file an insurance claim after a storm?

Most homeowners policies require claims within 1 year of the storm date. That's why we recommend putting a reminder on the calendar to check for damage each year. Along with our Roof Health Report that shows the history of strong storms at your address, we can help you make sure you get new damage identified, qualified, fixed, and covered!

How long does a roof replacement take?

The physical process of replacement takes 1-2 days, depending on the size of the roof. We've got it down to a science and do our best to keep things moving efficiently. We'll give you a detailed timeline and protect your home from the elements during the process.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes! We are fully licensed, insured, and certified so your roof gets the highest-quality materials and workmanship.

What kinds of warranty do you give on your work?

We give a 5 year warranty on our labor. Each specific roofing material and gutter type will have it's own warranties. We will provide you with more details on these throughout the material selection process.

How often should I get my roof inspected?

We recommend annual inspections, especially after severe weather with high winds, hail, or tree damage. Catching small issues early saves thousands in repairs over time. Consider joining our Annual Roof Wellness Check-Up schedule and we'll reach out to schedule an inspection with you every year. No need to remind yourself to do another thing!

I just bought this house, I have no idea how old this roof is. How do I find out if there have been storms here?

We have just the tool you need! Our Roof Health Check-Up Report can show you a few years of the history of your property. It will show if hail or wind damage were likely from each storm recorded.

What if I can't afford to fix damage found during my roof inspection?

We get it, life is expensive. If you can't afford the cost of repairs right now, we can help you to find financing options if you are interested and qualify. If you aren't interested in that path, we totally get it. No pressure. We're here when you're ready and would love to stay in touch.

My Roof Health Check-Up Report shows heavy storms in the past year, now what?

I have solar panels on my roof, is that going to be a problem?

Nope! We work with solar panels all the time. We can work around them for smaller repairs or take them off and put them back on when replacing your roof. Make sure you contact your solar panel company to check with them about how this might impact your warranty on their work. They may have specific protocols you need to follow to maintain your coverage.
